Some of you will know what i’m talking about.
(The Ribbon as it appears in MS Word 2007)
In the newest versions of MS Office there is the new “Ribbon”, rather than the normal toolbars.
For those of us familiar with the old style of such things we’re screwed:
“There is no way to delete or replace the Ribbon with the toolbars and menus from the earlier versions of Microsoft Office.”
And of course there is no way to complain to MS about it either. Figures eh?
I just love it when we get force-fed a new standard.

Is this not the most annoying thing ever? Honestly. Get us all used to doing something for 20 damn years, and then HA! Its all different! You’ll never find your formatting buttons again! Want to right justify something? TOO BAD!! MUHAHAHAHA! Stupid Microsoft. Sometimes new is NOT also better. I’ll be sticking with StarOffice at home and they can have my Office2003 at work when they pry it from my cold dead fingers. (Though I’d happily switch to StarOffice at work, too, if I could ever convince the Boss to do it.)

I’ve actually had to try to use the ribbon to configure things on the one 2007 machine in the office. Oh, how very much I look forward to ripping it out by the roots and putting 2003 on that machine.
It’s not AS evil as it could have been, but goodness it’s unpleasant.
